Cotillion (KUH-TIL-YUHN) is a social dance made popular in 18th-century Europe and America, but alive and well here in the South. Cotillion classes are a mainstay of the Southern lifestyle, often focus on mixing dance with lessons in etiquette and manners. However, we will be focusing on dance and fun. Over a period of 9 weeks participants will learn 6 different dance styles culminating with a cotillion dance where participants can show-off all they have learned.

Week 1: Swing Dancing: East and West Coast Styles
Week 2: Cha-Cha
Week 3: Foxtrot
Week 4: Review Weeks 1-3
Week 5: Waltz: Viennese and American Styles
Week 6: Two-Step
Week 7: Salsa
Week 8: Review Weeks 5-7
Week 9: Cotillion Dance (This class will be 2 ½ hours, giving participants plenty of time to show-off their new-learned dance skills.)
DURATION: Once a week for 1½ hours. Day of week and time based on participants’ schedule.
